Concert photographer in Paris: the stage, without flash

From Lollapalooza to small venues: how I photograph a concert, what artists receive, and how to book me.

By Melissa, photographer in Paris

The light dropping all at once, the sweat, the crowd singing louder than the mic: those are the seconds I photograph concerts for.

I am a photographer in Paris. I also shoot proposals and weddings, but the stage is my other love. Here is how I work, what I have already photographed, and what you get if you are an artist, a manager, a venue or an organiser.

1. The short answer

I photograph concerts, festivals and parties in Paris and the Île-de-France region. Front row, no flash, with the stage lighting.

The package starts at €300 for 2 hours, with 60+ edited photos in a private online gallery. For a longer night or a festival, I send a quote.

2. Stages I have shot

  • Fever 333 and Owen at Lollapalooza Paris 2023.
  • Celia Maqam and her band.
  • Kader, Chemsou Freeklane.
  • Kamel Aziz, in October 2026.

From huge festivals to small venues, I love big stages as much as intimate gigs where you can see every expression.

3. Why I never use flash

Flash flattens the stage lighting, bothers the artist and the crowd, and is often forbidden. I work with what the lighting designer created: the reds, the backlight, the beams in the haze.

For that, I use a full-frame camera and a very bright 50 mm lens that catches faces even when the room is almost dark.

4. For artists, managers and labels

You get photos ready to use:

  • for the press and your press kits;
  • for your social media, the same night or the next day;
  • for a poster, a cover or your website;
  • edited to keep the real atmosphere of the night, with no artificial effects.

Before the concert, we agree together on how the photos will be used and on credits.

5. Photo accreditation

For a public concert, accreditation is usually requested by the artist, the label or the organiser. If you book me, I can help you write the request.

In many venues and festivals, photographers only get the first three songs. So we plan the moments not to miss in advance.

6. Private parties and events

Birthdays, engagement parties, company nights, private concerts: same approach. I stay discreet and photograph the people, not just the stage.

And since I speak French, English and Arabic, I am at ease with every crowd, from oriental music to rock.
